Indoor Environmental Quality

The term indoor environmental air quality, also known as IAQ,  describes how the air in buildings and other structures affects the occupants' comfort, health, and well-being. It includes a range of elements, including temperature, humidity, ventilation, and the existence of contaminants. Sources of these substances include outside air, building materials, furniture, and cleaning supplies, HVAC system, and moisture within a building. These difficulties can be made worse by inadequate ventilation and poor indoor air circulation, which can cause discomfort as well as possible health issues like allergies, weariness, fatigue, and respiratory problems.  Plumbing functions discreetly to bring in water and remove it when we're done, making it a forgotten asset of our houses. The complex network of pipes and fittings allows us to do things like flush the toilet, take a shower, and get water from the faucet. As interior designers, it is important for us to evaluate the placement of plumbing lines inside a structure because it affects interior design and space planning. While again, interior designs are not in charge of the structure or roof framing of a building (whether that be wood or steel), interior designers use the ceilings to define a room's individuality, incorporating features like coffered ceilings, tray ceilings, or vaulted patterns to give the building's structure a distinctive personality. Ceilings combine structural stability with aesthetic attraction in a dual role. From a structural standpoint, ceilings serve as a sturdy shield to protect occupants from the elements.
